Liquid Keratin buzz is incredible and right now after having ben featured in magazines like InStyle, and has been selling out but is it really the equivalent of salon treatment at 1/10th the price? I am a Keratin devotee but with salon cost anywhere between $300.00 to $400.00. I took a plunger on this one and I cant describe how great my hair feels.
My hair is color treated and highlighted and it actually makes my hair look and feel healthier.First off you wash your hair in the shampoo, then spray the straightener all through your hair and let it sit for 30 minutes. Next, you dry it with a round or paddle brush, then seal it in with a flat iron. The only downside is you can’t wash your hair for 48 hours and it feels a bit disgusiting. So make sure you dont have anywher special to go in during the 48 hour absorption stage. The treatment smells okay, the other products have a clean, soapy smell. My hair used to get really frizzy but right now i can just blow dry it and it also looks very shiny, silk and smooth. My Top Tips:
1. You definitely have to iron the treatment in for best and longest benefits
2. You dont need to use all of the treatment at once. It can be a bit much and can make your hair limp during the 48 hour absorption.
3. I noticed my color treated hair was a little darker after applying the treatment buy it went back to normal after the first wash 48 hours later.
4. Oh and very important, not to use any shampoo or conditioner containing salicic acid. They sell special hair products to use for keratine treated hair, they might be a little pricy but so so worth it!

I, too, have been getting the more expensive salon treatments and, with the economy as it is, thought I would give this a shot. It is SO worth it. I think my hair feels even better than the more expensive salon treatments. It is more labor intensive, but if I can buy this and save myself $330+ dollars, I’m willing to do it.
I definitely agree with the flat-ironing statement – the better the flat iron (here’s where you should shell out the big bucks – get a Chi or equivalent salon-style flat iron) the hotter it will get and the better the results. My hair feels smoother and looks shinier than it does after the WAY more expensive salon treatments.
I purchased other shampoos and conditioners that do not contain Sodium Chloride (per their recommendation and the recommendation of my hair stylist for the more expensive treatments.) Anything that contains harsh salt-based stripping/cleansing agents will wash this product out of your hair quickly. You want to get a low-lather salt-free shampoo at the very least with a good salon-quality conditioner.
