As a woman reaches ovulation crystal patterns start to form in her saliva. This salt crystal formation is called ferning and is visible under a microscope. Digital fertility monitors are becoming increasingly popular due to the ease of use. The can either be saliva or urine based readers. You can not make a mistake with these tools.

Basal Thermometers
The basal thermometer reads your basal body temperature which will raise a few tenth of a degree just after ovulation. This rise is due to an increase in progesterone just after ovulation has occurred. No matter which ovulation test you choose, getting pregnant fast can be a stressful time.
