My Song Of The Week
Je Veux Te Voir – Yelle
Yes it’s in french. Yes I have no clue what she’s saying. But the video is so fun and colourful and the song makes me feel like dancing. So yea. It’s my Song of the Week. Check it out.
Nobis Headwear
Summer is upon us and the days have become hotter. Getting a tan is nice but some might prefer to cover up their heads. And why not be fashionable while doing so?
I’ve been recently introduced to Nobis headwear and I must say that I do like their variety of hats. Each are named and unique.
MaxieWhether you’re looking to spice up your lake-side look or head out for a day of errands on the town, this cotton canvas newsboy cap is the perfect accessory for the casual gal in all of us
BootsHeading out for a day on the town or a little league baseball game? This plaid cotton ivy cap is the perfect accesorrie for any summer activity.
A cotton French terry poorboy, this hat is available in four colors and is made for the mysterious gal looking to hide out at the beach or in park while reading her favorite book.
Feel free to check out more great styles at Nobis.

2008 BET Awards
Oh I absolutely loved this canary Giambattista Valli tiered dress. The only real problem I had was Rihanna’s winter makeup. Other than that she was the best dressed.
I absolutely loved thise grape-coloured dress on Nia Long. Nice draping and the dress shows off her amazing legs.
TLC members performed with Alicia Keys. All kinds of wrong here. What is up with those checkered pants and that hair T-Boz?
Singer Ashanti didn’t pick up any awards last night but that didn’t get her down. She posed in an embellished Marchesa gown that showed off her legs.
After picking up the award for Best Female R&B Artist, Alicia posed in the press room. I like the colour and fit of the dress but I think that the embellishments are a tad bit too large.
tag by artistic blogger friend
Hey guys. I’ve been tagged my artistic blogger friend, Paris in Luella Land.
I have to list seven songs that I’m into right now. This one is kind of a toughie. I love so many!! I been listening to a lot of rock recently. Especially anything with a euro inspired techno beat (those songs just make me feel like dancing!)
But anywho, here’s my top seven… and yes i posted the videos so you hear them
1) Just Dance – Lady Gaga
This was my first song posted, I really love it and I can’t wait for her album to drop.
2) Disturbia – Rihanna
No video for this yet, just listen to the song. It actually took me a couple listens to really get into it though.
3) Hey There Delilah – Plain White T’s
I’m more into this song now than when it first came out
4) Everybody Nose – N.E.R.D
Just love Pharrell.
5) Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen
I remember my friend playing the piano one day and I was said to him, what’s that song? I love the melody. He told me and I went to look it up. Been in love ever since. I think it is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard.
6) Voices – Madonna
No real video for this one. Personally I love Hard Candy. It gets constant play on my ipod.
7) Gravity – John Mayer
Classic song. John Mayer is a great guitarist.
Now listen I am tagging everyone. Yes everyone. So if you’ve read this post consider yourself tagged. Oh and please leave a comment letting me know if you plan on doing it. I want to check out your fav songs.

Chanel, Jourdan and Arlenis in US Vogue July

Three of my favourite black models are featured in the July issue of US Vogue. They are Chanel Iman, Jourdann Dunn and Arlenis Sosa. These three beautiful young ladies sat down with Vogue to talk about black models in fashion (click the article to enlarge). They posed for the editorial in designs from the Donna Karen Fall 2008
P.s I was planning on posting the covers and some photos from Vogue Italia featuring all black models but I am assuming that you have all seen them already (I have seen them on every site I’ve gone to). If you haven’t just let me know and I will gladly put the images up for you.

People’s Hottest Bachelor + Latest Events
So umm yea. I was taken back a bit by Mario Lopez being People’s Hottest Bachelor. In the picture on the right, he tries to recreate Mark Walhberg’s infamous Calvin Klein ad. All I kept thinking was if he’s gonna return those socks to their owner. I know, I know. How mean.
But check out the list:
1) Mario Lopez
2) Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado (um yeah right)
3) David Cook (American Idol, ok yea he can pass)
4) Terrance Howard
5) Bryan Spears (yea Spears, as in Britney’s brother)
6) Gerald Butler (sexy)
7) James Blake (tennis star)
Bret Michaels (you have got to be kidding me)
9) Andy Samberg and Akiva Schaffer
10) Hunter Johansson (Scarlett’s twin brother)
11) Adam Levine
12) The Gossip Guys (Ed!!!)
Now tell me that wasn’t the worst list ever. There are a couple of exceptions but come on, where is Shia? He is the hottest of the hot. Sigh oh well. Check out some pics of what went down recently
The Whitney Contemporaries’ Art Party and Auction
I had to start of the event with James Franco. Too cute for words
Ummm can u say stunning. I am completely flabbergasted. Did Rachel Bilson always have that body? Love it and her Lanvin heels.
Ahh! I love this outfit…although I have seen her in something similar
The always stunning Charlize Theron wore an asymmetrical Christian Lacroix dress and Dior ankle booties.

Season’s Inspiration
Gwen Stefani’s inspiration for L.A.M.B. (an acronym for Love, Angel, Music, Baby) is her unique sense of style, love of design and need for practical pieces she could wear every day and on the red carpet for an event. L.A.M.B. is about individuality, sophistication and irreverence with a touch of “rock” glamour and a Los Angeles-meets-Paris sensibility.
Jill Stuart’s life long passion for vintage clothing and accessories inspired her to design the Jill Stuart Handbag Collection to complement her ready-to-wear clothing with a vintage inspired, contemporary collection of clutches, lady- like tailored handbags and oversized tote bags in luxurious leather assortments. Jill Stuart’s “nouveau vintage” sexy handbags and small leather goods collection brings New York style to fashion consumers worldwide.
Gwen Stefani found inspiration for the Harajuku Lovers collection the first time she went to Tokyo and saw kids in Harajuku that were all about self expression, unique individual style, making their own clothing mixing and matching with western inspiration and Japanese traditional style. The Harajuku Lovers line is an extension of Gwen’s music and a visual to its lyrics
